Aleisha Cowcher wins Australian Big Brother
Original housemate Aleisha Cowcher was named the winner of Australian Big Brother 2007.
A computer glitch slowed the announcement for 45 minutes past the scheduled close for the show. The show’s organisers will have to revamp that aspect of the show after the embarrassing delay. Perhaps they underestimated the numbers of public wanting to vote and the server got overloaded.
21 year-old Cobram hairdresser Aleisha Cowcher was only 2% higher than her housemate, Zach Douglas, who was vying to be the first gay Big Brother Australia winner. Zach Douglas was deemed the best new face brought into the show for spicing the group dynamic and boosting the ratings.
Host Gretel Killeen was left with the task of trying to pad out the show and apologise for the delay.
